Author Topic: Youtube loads every single video in 240p  (Read 1139 times)

Whenever I load a video, it starts at 360p, but as soon as the actual video starts playing, it's in 240p. There's nothing wrong with my connection, as I can switch to 360p without any problems. I've checked the settings, and there's nothing about forcing it into 240p. Is this happening to anyone else?

oh my god yes this pisses me off so much

It's because "Auto" is the new default setting, it will fix itself after a little bit.

You can also fix it by going and loving yourself because giving options to users is the #1 sin in web development.

I just checked, it is happening to me too.

who needs quality?

you people are too spoiled with your HD tv's nowdays.

Happens to me occasionally. Usually, you need to wait a short time, click on the timeline, or switch the settings around to fix it.

this seems like a joke but

sometimes the video requires you to see details that can't be seen in lower resolutions to be enjoyed fully (e.g. text)
