This might be kinda difficult for me to put into words, so bear with me
I have hooked up my xbox 360 to my computer monitor for convenience. I am using a vga cable for xbox and DVI for computer. If I want to switch i just press a button. However, when I turn the xbox on and switch, it does not work. I think it is because when I turn it on (this happens on my TV too), it turns on, but does not go to the dashboard and sign in. The green arcs should spin around the power button but this does not happen unless I go into the proper source (For example it is HDMI on my tv) so I am stuck in a loop. My xbox will not sign on because I am not on the right source, but I cannot get to the right source because the xbox is not on. However, on the TV downstairs, it signs on without going to the proper source. It's very irritating and now I cant get onto the xbox to fix it
