not really? it's only as outdated as the forum software. some things aren't relevant, like some BBC, but it's pretty up-to-date beyond that

no, actually. this is really basic stuff. new users will almost invariably visit General Discussion first, if they aren't looking for help with the game

there is a limit to how many characters can be in one post, and if you expect that you may go over that limit, then you would reserve the first post so that you could edit it later, basically extending the OP
and a sticky is definitely not going to happen
