Author Topic: Can't Install Windows Live Essentials  (Read 465 times)

About a month ago I decided to uninstall Windows Live Essentials due to it forcing me to use Windows Live Messenger every time I turn on my computer. However I decided to install it again and find out a way for me to just get rid of Windows Live Messenger. When I finished installing it says it installed correctly and is finished. When I go to find the files for Windows Live Essentials they don't seem to appear anywhere on my computer. I was downloading the right version which is for Windows 7 32-bit. I did post this on the Windows Help forums but I got no responses at all for a couple of days. So can any of you help me with this problem?

You can just disable Windows Live Messenger from starting at start-up...

Anyway did you check the folder where it's installed rather than at start menu?

I looked and the folder isn't there, I even searched all the files on my computer and couldn't find it.

You can uninstall just windows live by using the uninstall/change program thing in the control panel
