Author Topic: Does streaming a live event use more bandwidth than regular streaming?  (Read 457 times)

Cause I have a data cap n stuff and I want to watch E3.

Video playback is video playback, just means that you aren't going to be downloading the video ahead like say watching a youtube video. Unless you have a super low cap for your data you shouldn't have to worry.

You're watching E3, too? I'm watching it with my steam group, now.

Doesn't that new "interactive TV show" thing seem so dumb?

Bandwidth usages in this case depend on the quality of the audio and video in the steam.

For example, 480p uses less bandwidth then 720p.

Streamed events like to be high quality so that can slow you down a little and eventually hit a cap.
