Author Topic: Has anybody ever done work like this?  (Read 756 times)

For the nobody here that knows, I run a Garry'smod NewVegasRP (Running on Clockwork) Server. That means super serious stuffe.

There's several packs of models known as the TacoNBanana model packs. Each one contains over 100 Models, and 2-3 other varients for each model.

What I am doing:
Coding each modelpath in to be choose-able models for characters
Coding one variant for an equipable armor
Coding ANOTHER variant for another equipable armor
Beta testing each model
Taking pictures of each player's inventory
Deleting everybody's characters
Allowing them to remake their characters with the new and varied models (Because 4 different skins of every HL2 citizen is a REALLY boring set of models for a Serious RP Server, since there'll be a group of Male_07, Male_07, Male_09, Male_09, Female_01, Female_01, Female_02 and Female_02 all in one group.

So basically I'm spending over 4 hours copy and pasting modelpaths and alt+tabbing.

Before you start saying "Ew RP", Read this:
Clockwork servers (Most of the time) are serious RP Servers, meaning you ARE who your character is, and vice-versa. Each clockwork server has equip/de-equipable armors and weapons, ammos and such.
