Author Topic: Xubuntu won't let me open .zip files?  (Read 1100 times)

Installed Blockland using Wine, and I want to make an add-on, so when I try to open the .zip file, it rejects me?

ive never used any linux PC OS but im pretty sure you need a .zip opener, like 7zip or winzip

I didn't need something like this in regular ubuntu...

$ unzip file.zip -d .

if it doesn't work then the file is corrupt

$ unzip file.zip -d .

if it doesn't work then the file is corrupt

this is happening with all .zip files i create. my desktop, main blockland folder, anywhere!

i srsly need help..

again you sound like you had no clue what you got yourself into

"sudo apt-get install unzip p7zip", pretty sure. you're using file-roller.

EDIT: sorry, it's "zip", not unzip. if neither one is in there, just use the software center and search for "zip" or something.

if you have any problems with ubuntu i strongly suggest using any of the forms of help listed here instead of posting new topics for each problem
