Some are and some aren't.
Queens of The Stone Age and Muse actually sound much better live than the recordings.

Kind of a different perspective: I'm a drummer, and when I'm practicing, playing along to live songs usually simulates the experience better. So there's one way of thinking of it :D

i dont think any version of that song is all that fun to listen to.
