You know music theory? Well then, what are the 7 modes of music, in order?

You do realize you're on the internet right? Even a quick google could tell anyone that the modes are Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian. (this is where I say lol)

And my purposes aren't nearly that broad. I mainly focus on the Major and Minor Pentatonic scale and just the plain old Major scale. Earlier today he was talking about the Relative minor, triads, and Chromatics (simplest thing ever). We do get into some Jazz related material, such as minor sevenths, and we were also talking about chord inversion.

Mind you I've played instruments for 8 years, but none of my piano teachers ever taught me anything other than a song. Not why/how the song worked. Not until about a year and a half ago when I picked up a guitar did I even explore this.

Um yeah, but internet sources can be false, like with what you said. Those are only 6 modes. They forgot Lydian. ;-;
