Author Topic: I'm making a 2D game, what would you like it to be about?  (Read 1120 times)

would anyone like to be involved in the game?
i can handle coding and stuff, i just need graphic artists

also it's pixel art :)
I suppose I could try some simple stuff for practice, but I'm pretty amateur at it.

I think a lawn-mowing game would be cool.
putt putt joins the parade
You don't even have to finish mowing the lawn... Just mow for 1 second and money. I don't even own the game nor do I want to.

Yeah, I have just been itching to have an adventure game while you can upgrade your base with different upgrades and different upgrade paths. So maybe LAWN MOWING EXTREME, where you could mow the lawns with Tayasaurus' idea. But also with a main base of operations, and maybe several all over the world (States, Countries, Continents, Ect.), so yeah, thought that would be worth sharing.
I would make a game like that, but I know jack squat about coding.

Are you good with pixel art? :)

Holy forget. Type Atari Breakout into google images.
I just realized that.

nothing happens

I think you should set your goal a little smaller like my initial idea :o

I think that thinking TOO big without gradual buildup isn't good for the mind :3

A lawn-mowing company simulator.

You have to manage work hours, figuring out how to be efficient and saving more time and money while mowing, budgeting gas and upgrades for your mower, managing schedules, clients and balancing budgets to make a profit off of it.

You have the entirety of the in-game summer vacation (90 days, 20 minutes per day) to reach a set profit goal of $200+

edit: also make a new game plus where after you reach the profit goal, you have to survive the zombie apocalypse by cutting grass and upgrading your lawn mower to fight off endless hordes of zombies. In this game, you struggle to mow lawns, survive the apocalypse and find survivors in the tall, tall grass.
Or with an added twist make it zombie grass.
