my cat can and will chew every wire she sees. leave a wire out for one night, i'll be lucky there's anything left of it when i get up
bugger scratches almost everything except her scratching post too, and will not hesitate to attack my other cats if they so much as look at her the wrong way
Geez what, my cat only destroyed my earbuds when she was like 2 months old. Since then she's never chewed a wire.
Of course my cat seems to be more amazing than most considering she has the personality of a dog pretty much. (Like she craves attention and doesn't like being alone in a room and will whine to get into a room people are in. She is also aware of when she does things wrong and will either a. Run around to avoid you or b. actually notify you of what she did by meowing and walking over to it)
