Tier Tactical 2 - Ammo System?

It seems like the Tier Tactical ammo system pref is broken, does anyone know how to use it? No matter what I set it to (0, 1, or 2) it always uses the new ammo system, which is incredibly annoying because I don't want to have to put ammo all over the map.

not much you can do about it
just set the max ammo limit to 800 or something; nobody survives that long to expend that many rounds of ammunition.

I've decided just to use TF2 weapons.

The forum thread said that the last update was in 2012, and I got this computer this year, so I think it's updated.
Can you explain what each number does? I assumed 2 = TT2's ammo, 1 = TT1's reloads, 0 = vanilla-style, but it didn't seem like the pref did anything.

Worked for me like a few days ago after changing it. Just redownload it?
