you should run away from your parents if you aren't already

Im proud of you Snot.

I've never been grounded.

During middle school I was grounded more often than I wasn't.
My homeroom teacher and dean would call my parents (either my mom who would be at work, or my dad who would be sleeping because he worked the night shift) over every insignificant thing I did. Like my school was extremely pushy on the use of those little notebook planner things, to the point where some teachers wouldn't let you use ones you already had and instead required the use of the stuffty ones the school gave you. Once, I forgot to bring the planner to my homeroom class, which was about 15 minutes in the very start of the school day, and was pretty much nothing but taking attendance, getting any announcements for the day, and sitting around, and thus had absolutely no use for a planner. My teacher freaked out, sent me to my locker to get it, and called my parents to complain.
My parents thought the constant calling was completely ridiculous, they told me after middle school, but instead of complaining to them and telling them to stop calling, they took it out on me by grounding me for a week each time they called.

Spare the rod, spoil the child.

this is what happens when your parents are rad and dont really set harsh boundaries on a child. kids tend to get in trouble less if their parents are less constrictive over their children.
