Author Topic: What are some useful Android apps?  (Read 610 times)

It's hard to find some that are relatively useful under the cloud of awful and/or useless ones.

What are some useful apps that you use? What would you recommend?

I sure do love booty.

EDIT: nope. can't find the app.

i use phonemypc to get oin my desktop if i ever need to.

and i use a vlc remote app to control my watching things from bed.

minecraft-pocket edition!!!!!!!

Flow, for redditing  purposes
Pixel dungeon, fun rogue like
Image 2 wallpaper, better wallpaper setter

easytether/pdanet, tether apps.
stripes your data usage when tethered to a computer to hide its source, have to use it right now since i don't have home service. easytether is good for long term use but blocks https websites, ie google, facebook, while pdanet has unrestricted access until you hit 20mb of data, then it resets and you have to click it on again. both are good.

i have almost all of these. i didn't know about image 2 wallpaper though, that's neat.

Air Control - highly addictive game where you land aircraft top-down.
Google Play Music - have access to and stream all the music from your Google Play library (download Google Play Music Library Manager on the computer you keep all your music to have it all upload automatically)
Plague Inc. - very fun Pandemic style gameplay that isn't impossible to beat
RemoteDroid - neat tool to use your android as a touchpad for leaning back and relaxing
Shazam - why wouldn't you want to find out what song that is on the radio
last but not least
MightyText - acts like iMessage in that it lets you text from any web browser (even lets you use and see emojis inside the web browser)
