steam servers down for routine maitenece?

my friend tells me steams servers are down, my other friend tells me the same thing, i cant get to my groups im in for some reason either

I am not sure if Steam reffers to "down for maintenance" as a error code for isup.me. I am sure that website only detects if a page does not load and basically the server is really not working. Not for cases where it works, but it displays a certain message.
