Basically going to just be posting summarized sections of a book (or maybe just series of short stories) that I'm writing, when I actually get to writing. ._. (No spoilers...for anyone that cares)

The start of a cleanse; summary #1

The following is a short summary of a bit of a book that I'm hoping to write.
DISCLAIMER: NAMES OF PEOPLE, AND PLACES; AS WELL AS THE EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Timeline Position: 1543 AD
The community of Grey Dust, under the rule of High-Lord Inigo; has succumbed to harassment from the ever growing evil within the region. Labeled as infidels, heretics, and least favorable of all 'sinners' due to the town's support of the mystic arts; a diplomatic solution is unable to them, given these titles.
Refusing to succumb to a "repent or perish" threat, as well as staving off a joint raid of the fortress; the sight of a drawn-out, losing battle was undoubtedly in the near future. To this: a plan was formulated, putting the town's use of the mystic arts to their advantage, through a method that is; experimental at best.
A golem summoning ritual, well practiced within the town and near perfected by it's rulers; conjured with the 'life-purpose' of cleansing of the region outside of Grey Dust. With this completed, the townspeople could expand from their cramped haven, freely into a land without 'evil'.
Locked away in the dungeon of the fortress, so as to remain focused; Inigo crafted his creature, from the earth itself; dirt, rocks, as well as the dust floating within the underground sanctum. An entire day passed, though as the creation of 'mystic beyond' was forming to life: a large crowd gathered outside of the town gates once more, significant in size as much as it's banners are diverse.
Opposition seemed to grow overnight, following an even larger upturn the next day. By this time, the High-Lord had emerged from the inner keep...followed by, only what could be described as frightening, unsettling at least.
Led past the already nervous crowd, hallow, deep, breaths; from it's slacked; razor filled mouth, filled what little silence there was left, between the taunting from the outside and the whimpers of small children. Inigo, motioned the creature toward the gate and commanded that it be opened.
The united cheers of anxious morale erupted from the outside, but quickly died down as the golem emerged; all that followed, was complete silence; the atmosphere grew progressively eerie, moment by moment. All of the townspeople gazed curiously toward the armies outside; they're expressions fell into a confused, horrified state; as the creature just stood there, staring them down with it's empty gaze.
As if something had snapped, it quickly charged the clustered ranks; literally splitting men in the front of the forward formation, in two. Rear opposition had begun to retreat by now, but not before freezing from a state of dis-belief. Those who stayed were slaughtered, from it's bare hands, teeth, or crimson tarnished armaments, from the fallen. Any defense that remained quickly crumbled against the other worldly foe, when what little had remained had followed their fleeing rear-guard; it chased each of them down, man by man, nobody was left. Soon, the creature moved out of sight from the townspeople. It's mission had only begun.
