Author Topic: Potentially getting my PPL (Private Pilot License)  (Read 1227 times)

I've been doing a lot of research and with the income I have right now I've decided I'm going to pursue getting my Private Pilot License, or PPL. I live walking distance from CYOO (Oshawa Airport) and can take lessons there.

This means I'll be taught how to fly a standard private aircraft (IE Cessna 172, Piper Cherokee, Etc) and hopefully be able to rent a plane and fly on my own.

It's really just coming down to a matter of qualifications and health requirements (ADD and Arthritis, but both are in remission and I'm safe to fly) but I believe if I push myself enough I'll be able to basically pull off my lifelong dream.

Discuss. I'm excited as hell.

you can pick up some nice flight attendants from the airport and have some fun in the cessna

good luck

Unrelated question, but what type of arthritis do you have?

Congrats. I have my PPL and IFR rating I received a couple months ago. In the US I believe you only need a class III medical certificate to be a student pilot. How far are you planning to take the career? ATP?

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! A girl in my school who graduated has been flying planes since she was 16, and now she is going to university to study aeronautical engineering (she is a registered pilot right now, but she also wants to engineer and construct planes as well). Being a pilot is an exciting career, you'll enjoy it.

???
I'm no pilot, but I'm fairly certain that flying a plane isn't remotely easy.

Probably not, but it's a challenge you'd overcome with skill, not luck.

I misinterpreted what he was saying, I thought he was talking about a career.

it says license on the title >:(((

do you plan on getting a license to fly helicopters?
