I'm trying to get this goblet to be reflective, but for some reason only the bottom part is glossy, while the rest of it is matte.

Can anyone help?

I've never really used Blender or really any modeling software before but uh... Maybe it's because there's nothing to reflect? I dunno just an idea...

Notice how the bottom part is reflecting, and as we move up the handle it abruptly stops. There is definitely something to reflect, It might be a glitch in the render engine...

It looks like it's reflecting the handle and bottom side of the cup. So yeah I still don't think there's anything else for it to reflect.

But I don't know the whole science behind reflections and how they work so I don't know. Again, just an idea.

Oh yeah

I tried adding a cube right infront of it and it reflected it

Thanks lol

Not only is this on the wrong forum (and message board if you want to get picky) but there is also a thread dedicated to Blender: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=238380.0
