Author Topic: Highway Themed SpeedKart Track (WIP)  (Read 2789 times)

Have you seen any of the speed kart maps there atleast 64x64 roads or bigger. And your expecting people to actually slow down and do there 90 degree turns on the off ramps? It would just be a major cluster-forget, any ways I have a suggestion how about using ramps to get off instead of using plates. It would make it easier to drive on and off.
If there's a larger zone for players to get widened out it will not be such a big issue. The more distance the more the players spread out. The plates are just as easy to drive on/off as a regular ramp, just less steep.

if by "currently built" you mean "currently built but made wider" then yes
I am not widening the currently built road. Instead the beginning will be wide and will narrow out to this.

when you finish, host it with 24 people

and if it works then congratulations

i really hope it does work though
really the issue is that cars get STUCK in eachother

the build looks nice though

Yeah, that might be a problem. Just tested it some more and each road can only fit about 3 people. Thats 6 people at the beginning. Maybe for a solution add bigger side road that bypasses the highway?

On another note, highway sign is finished.

Lots of people like to either pull a richard move and do a random left or right to cause a few crashed or such. With no distance to spread out to like 64x64 its going to be tough to not crash in to those richards.

I've always have had trouble driving up plates and if this is going to be a big map your going to have to cut down on bricks. Like use print plates or terrain cubes with special prints. So on

What if I stop my cart in front of the on/offramp?
Nobody can pass it then.

There's 4 on/off ramps. Should not be a problem.

Has anyone ever thought of making a replica of Toad's Turnpike from Mariokart 64? Thats a good highway map.

I like the idea a lot, but as other people said, it's waaay too narrow.
heh the tides have turned lol
