Also in psychology I've learned cramming is an awful thing to do. Due to a memory curve you're more likely to remember the first and last things you've read. So, if you cram, you're going to most likely drop off in the middle as to what you remember. Studying is most effective when reading for example, a chapter, testing yourself until you've got it down and taking a break.
