Author Topic: Blockland Server Statistics?  (Read 931 times)

Is there some kind of website that tracks the statistics of server player count and most frequented servers by players?

I've seen people try to do this from time to time.
I did this a while ago.

That is really interesting. Could you create something that's a bit more official?

I run a master server recorder:
http://www.hammereditor.net/masterarchive/
Each .txt file represents one Blockland server. My recorder logs IP address/port, name, players, max. players, bricks, and GameMode.
Unfortunately, I only started doing this a month ago, so I don't have any historical data.
Illegal file characters show up as '%' signs.

I bet kalphiter has something that does this.

Why would you use a text file for each server? You should try using some kind of database.

1. This was supposed to be a 'quick-and-dirty' program.
2. I have never used databases in computer programming. I know that Java easily interacts with Oracle's database applications, but my recorder was only supposed to take 45 minutes to make.

So what exactly do you want?
I was looking for something like... graphs. Showing the popularity of the upper class servers over time.
