Alright so i just created a new desktop bg and it turned out stuff when i set it as my bg

Well maybe someone knows why it's doing this?

It becomes compressed or something when i set it as the background so the gradient and text blur out and look horrible.

If you actually read the op and clicked the pictures you'd have seen that the ogirinal picture is sharp and clean and his desktop version is a bit blurry.

Windows doesn't let you have a .png as your background, so when you try to set one as your background it will convert it to a .jpg
Basically what you want to do to fix this is convert the image to a .jpg yourself with the best quality settings.
