Should I sell my DSi XL with no stylus and scratches on the screen for a BMX?

Should I sell my DSi XL for $45 with HeartGold and a charger, no stylus, scratches on the screen, and get a BMX bike now, or wait and possibly get a 3DS now when I can just wait until Christmas?
