Looking for a tablet..

Hey guys, im looking for a tablet i can use for school and home. I dont know where to look and i don't know what brands are good/bad or what to look for spec wise in a tablet. My price range is about $250-$450. Id prefer if it was Windows 8 and has a USB port. Any suggestions on what i should consiter buying? also one of those snap on keyboards would be cool..

i mean being able to ghetto rig your surface to not run stuff windows tablet OS but actual windows 8 like the surface pro

As I've heard, I think you can run just about any exe file because of how the absolutely terrible PE binaries work.

Surface RT is like just the Windows 8 tablet interface.

Surface Pro is like Windows 8 with the desktop and everything.

The surface 2 series is out, so the old Surface Pros are going down in price, but are still about $600. If you look on Ebay, you'll probably find a good Surface pro for your budget range (used).
