Lighthouse Island
A simple DM map

About

Lighthouse Island is a small, cute little deathmatch map made by Blake1 and Blocklegend. It can be used for any short-range (pushbrooms, swords, etc) type of deathmatch, but is mainly intended for smaller amounts of players. The map is 1,076 bricks and includes 2 sets of ladders, a bulb room, glass that shatters on impact, a really cool roof by Blocklegend, and a shortcut on the back end of the lighthouse. Lighthouse Island is a fun and simple DM map, hope you like!

[Above] Overview of the map.

[Above] The side of the lighthouse. (You can see the shortcut)

[Above] The main interior, with ladders to climb to the bulb room. We're probably aren't going to add stuff in here but we may remove the posts.

[Above] The bulb room. Plans of expanding this room are slim, there isn't much to remove.

[Above] Just a nice pretty shot from the deck.

It's a simple build, and I think you should connect this lighthouse to a road which leads to a city on another island. I think this is great!

I feel its too small for a dm past three players. Expand the island slightly and add another structure or two to fill up probably 1 64x64 baseplate so players aren't fighting in such a cramped space.

Yeah, this has been one of the problems. I'm considering adding some more plants to the island and making it bigger. One reason I made the glass break on impact was so the space can change quickly from smaller to larger. Not to mention would be a neat effect when playing with pushbrooms.

Neat idea, but I might keep it simple. However if I do use this build in some other idea with a city, I'll keep this in mind!

make the island bigger

that's the only issue here

A way to make it larger is to extend the island a bit and add the Light house house. If you really wanted to. Also a dock, a buoy on the beach, etc. Just so that its not plain

Yeah a dock was mentioned but never completed. That's a really good idea.

So thanks for the suggestions guys, we'll work on the island and other stuff tonight.

i think their should be like a sinking ship infront of it for the enemy team (opposing team) to spawn at, would give a nice touch, but overall amazing

Thanks for the suggestion, however this isn't going to be just one server. We designed the map to be anything from a Pushbroom DM to a Rising Lava map (Not sure if I want to give it to Zapk, though).
