Sometimes every single student at lunch can randomly end up singing "Happy birthday" even if nobody has their birthday that day.

I think it starts when someone THINKS someone's birthday is today but it isn't, because sometimes it awkwardly trails off. Other times, people don't want to awkwardly quiet down so they just keep singing it.

There was a kid in my high school who used to pick off chewing gum from underneath a desk and eat it. At the end of lessons he would end up with old, used chewing gum all around his area where he had just dropped the chewing gum rather than eating it.
If you sat next to him you could feel the vibrations from him tugging the gum beneath his desk.
