Author Topic: Gun Stuff  (Read 1995 times)

I've never fired a gun, which is unfortunate. I think I'm too young in the state of California.
California is a stuffty state for guns, I almost wouldn't even bother.
Recent gun legislation in your state has allowed for APPS teams to come in and "grab" guns, aka 'legally taking away guns from people whom they believe are dangerous,' often times from citizens who have proven to not be a threat, have registered their firearms, and haven't committed any crimes. Something like $400k has been spent on just hiring people for gun grabbing. California is beyond anti-gun, right up there with New York.

The kind of daddy I aspire to be

That's a pretty irrational fear to have but whatever. I like guns but there are way too many nutjobs into guns.

Clip is just a slang term for magazine, and for most people it kinda pisses them off to hear that (especially those on /k/ lel) It's just better to call it a magazine otherwise you'd probably make an ass out of yourself. just sayin'.

You still come off as being a whiny douche. I'm willing to guess you have no experience with guns outside of being an armchair general. If I say banana clip everyone knows exactly what I mean. It's such a little bitchy thing to complain about. The only people it seems to really piss off are people that jerk off over guns on the internet without ever touching one.

What fear are you referring to
The only fear I may have mentioned would be the improper use of a firearm, which is completely serious because that has the possibility of ending a life..
Or did you mean teaching a female to shoot instead of going her a restraining order on an ex/creeper

Not quite, it's important to understand these terms when dealing with rifles, because if you say to a cashier "I would like 3 banana clips for 5.56 NATO for my [rifle]," most of the time they'll look at you funny
If you ask for 3 magazines in 5.56 NATO, they'll pull six out of their back pocket in assorted colors and with little charms on them.
Banana clips aren't as common, and are essentially outdated tech. Guns that legitimately use clips are the M1 Garand, AK47, and some mannlichers. Alternatively, "clip" can be a term for part of a magazine that aids in the process of loading bullets into a magazine, but I have no experience with that, I've always manually loaded my mags

So, what was the first gun you ever shot?
Mine was a .44 magnum.
Lo and behold, not a single living being noticed.

Usually the worst place to own one.
Which is too bad because I've wanted a Glock since I saw one.

Lo and behold, not a single living being noticed.
Through boyscouts I learned to shoot pea shooters (aka .22 rifle, one round at a time.)
Most people already answered your question.

My dad loves guns.  He shoots them in my backyard a lot at random targets (broken toys, pizza boxes, real targets, etc).  He even built a gun and traded it for a dirt bike.  He also has a World War II Russian Mosin-Nagant.

i want a 10/22
just because i was given a 50 round mag for one lol

Really a shame. =(

You know which one I meant because I linked the picture. Using a firearm should be the last resort and only in a life threatening situation.

While this is all fine and dandy, I'm not going into a gun store and saying that. I'm pretty sure a banana clip is only slang for a high capacity magazine that curves, like a banana. I was just calling it so people knew what I was talking about. People knew exactly what I meant and just wanted to be a pedantic whiny douche about it.

Here are some pictures of the 10/22 and the case I got for it. I'm using the super lovey padlock that the rifle came with to lock the bolt or whatever so it can't be used.
