Author Topic: How to install DTS exporter for Blender?  (Read 775 times)

/title

And yes, I've looked at Demian's topic on this, and it didn't really tell me what to do. It said to extract the file that I downloaded, and it doesn't say where to. I am completely confused.

Also, I am using Blender 2.49b.

EDIT: Also on Windows 8. I tried adding it to the scripts folder, (like it said to do in a file within the add-on) and it didn't work.
EDIT2: This might not be enough info to work with, so if you need more info, just ask. I just don't know what you might need.

Well, first I tried the premade windows package, but I couldn't figure out where to extract it to/what to after that. I have just "vanilla", if you will, blender installed. When I opened it, it said I need to install python, however it opened just fine anyway. So, call me an idiot, but I'm not quite sure how to install python?

With the pre-packaged you export it into wherever you want your blender to be, and then you can just launch it from there.

try this link, it has python pre-packaged. http://mirror.dataorb.net/Blender249b_Python262_DTloveporter097b3_64bit.zip
i'm not really familiar with windows 8

Ok, so I added what was downloaded from the above link to Local Disk (C:) > Program Files(x86) > Blender Foundation > Blender, and I got this error when I tried to launch blender.

Alright, my brother got installed for me. Thanks for your help though.
