Author Topic: [VIDEO] Getting a new computer  (Read 776 times)

I made a video about my good friend Mikey555, after having accidentally destroyed his old computer, getting a coupon for a new (arguably good-quality) pre-built computer at an electronic store, and narrating all his actions as he does it.

also, tell me what you think of it.

I had a mental laugh when the computer exploded, and the actor showed up his tools.

you may also need more camera angles, and avoid using the spy command.

and avoid using the spy command.
Let's call it an "orbital camera" to make it more professional sounding and consider that it isn't always such a bad idea, especially when you're doing a relatively quick video where you need to follow someone in a vehicle.

Thank you for your feedback. I will try and keep it in mind in my next videos.

As defended by the other replier to this thread, I needed a quick and easy way to follow a car around, and there were a lot of car scenes in this.

Now that I think about it, actually, I could come up with a few other ways to do this (e.g. admin warp)

I chuckled a few times, good job! Now you just need to fix dat aspect ratio

when the computer exploded, and just the sheer indifference of the owner toward it exploding made me roar with laughter for some reason

I thought I'd never hear Parappa Music in a Blockland Video haha

Pretty well made, although this video could have been way shorter. Some of the driving scenes could have been cut and if one were to just jump around the video you'd be bound to see driving about the set. Although you are already aware of this issue so it's fine. The problem with some videos however is that some shots should be cut a bit shorter. It's hard to explain, but I don't think long shots accompany the quick paced humor these videos normally encompass. The movement in particular should follow this, like that uhhh

that one video with the guy walking around in headphones i apologize that i forget who made it, but i think the turn took too long. i think it would have been funnier if the turn was sudden and nonchalant.

I think you've got movement down but it could also be more sporadic since the Blockhead is already kinda limited in how it moves its limbs. But who knows maybe I'm completely wrong on this. I did like how the guy acted to the computer blowing up, and when the car also blew up I thought that was well cut, but maybe at the car dealership, the guy could've reacted a bit more to it. I'm pretty sure you could've done an edit where you just use the "use" animation, then held it there to act as if he pulled out the ticket. And the car dealer could've actually moved a bit as well.

How many takes did it take to get that window burst car landing thing

I liked this
Yeah the driving sequences were a bit long but I laughed at the ending and the car salesman part
