It's the popluarity. Just see it everywhere is not gonna make things look ok. It makes it worst and it makes me cringe when I see another fan thing from the game.

Its what happened to it. Look at the people who play it and do stupid stuff to the game. Their company might be swimming in cash for the rest of their life but their name is cringed to death. Whenever I even mention Minecraft at my school most of my friends look at me like I'm some spoiled 5 year old. So I've dropped the game. 

And i'm pretty sure DarkStar posted that 11 Minecraft animation here a long long time ago

its a boring game; there's nothing to do but survive and stupid roleplaying.
Not to mention it's well lets see, overrated, useless fan stuff (tees and crud), and everyone I know who plays it is loving addicted to it

So, what I'm getting is that it's not minecraft it's self for most, people, but the community? And to that one comment about it being boring, that's vanilla. Personally, I find vanilla dull, and mod the stuff out of MC. I feel like an oddball now for liking the game. I like SOME videos, usually good quality animations. But I feel as if...
I can't explain it, but it's like it's hated by a bandwagon.

I only play it with people I know in real life though, so I don't know if that is why I don't think it's as bad
