Roads?

Its it possible to make roads realisticly useing terrain editor?

Yes, just use a road texture as the terrain. If you mean with curbs and sidewalks and stuff, then no, you'll have to model them for them to look any good.

Also, you'll need two road textures, one for each direction the roads travel in. If you want non-square shaped roads, and turns that aren't 90 degrees, you will also need to model them.

One last note, the detail texture is displayed over all the terrain, so your roads will also have the detail texture. This isn't a big deal if your road is made of asphalt or rock or something, but looks odd on some other textures.

The texture painter is really only suited to making dirt paths because it blends adjacent 'patches' of texture in order for a smooth transition.

Another thing you may want to note is that for the most part, maps which include pre made definitions (roads, buildings, ect) are typically ill received as they restrict the imagination and building possibilities. Obviously there are exceptions like The Bedroom and such. More freedom for builders generally equals a more favourable map.

there is allready a road with curbs and lights i think, just go into the editor and start looking through the interiors it was either there or i got it out of rtb,i think its in a folder called industrail but i wouln't swear to it.just look for a dff named road.
