So it'll crash on a bunch of other buildings instead. Wonderful.
Any modern day missile can travel pretty far at high speeds. So you could shoot at an incoming plane miles away from a city without having to blow it up over a city. If a jet were to get hit by one, it would either blow up into pieces and just scattered all over the area or to whever the jet stream takes them, the other outcome is that the back engine gets hit and the plane turns into a flaming dart and crashes into open field or the ocean.

do you have to live in the mountains or what
Suburbs outside the city. Im close to the vineyards and farms out east, near the Hamptons. Its forgetin nice out there. City is nice in some aspects, but a lot of the time its not.

This plan would require knowing exactly where the plane is and being ok with shooting down a plane full of civilians

No, I meant that I live on Long island. I said that so you could get an idea of the location. Im in the middle of the Hamptons and the city. If there was magically no traffic, Its a 25-30 minute drive to the city.

This. This this this.

I don't know why the world is blinded. The city is a dump. A dirty, disease ridden, often sketchy and dangerous place, that I would not be caught dead in at night.

If you live in an upscale neighborhood it isn't a dump, it is dirty, and there are lots of roosterroaches and mice which spread diseases, some areas are very sketchy, and it isn't as dangerous as it used to be. I plan on moving out of here when I'm older though since the crime is going back up and I hate the hustle and bustle.

I live in the deepest part of Suburbia aka East Elmhurst.

Queens? I know where that part is, it's close to La Guardia Airport.

What part of Canada are you in? In many parts it's just very dry, but in Atlantic Canada they get dumped with snow at this time of year.

I live by the great lakes so we get a lot of lake streakers

....what?
What the forget are you going on about, sonny? All the armies in the world can't stop an airliner crashing into a building at high speed, ya dingus.

Never mind, your making this hard.

You want snow? Come to Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin, we've got plenty

NYC is one of the best places in the world. Like the only place that easily tops it is Vancouver
