Author Topic: My Quadcopter Broke (It's getting fixed! :D)  (Read 1085 times)

So yeah, my $70+ quadcopter broke. One of the propellers came off, and both wires just snapped.
I sent the guy who created it an email, hopefully he will respond.

Kinda sucks for this to happen. I was so excited when it came, and within 2 days, it broke.

Repair it, Setro!
Like I said, I sent the creator an email. But if he doesn't respond, I may try to repair it myselves. Here's some info:
-The propeller has a sealed plastic case on it, as the picture depicts. Getting into it is going to be a hassle, and I may not be able to get it back together.
-The wire that used to connect the propeller seems to be soldered directly into the circuit board. The thing has ports for stuff you can plug in, but as far as the propellers go, I don't know where to start. woah woah woah i just found a part that it plugs into. Doesn't mean much though. The shaft is glued onto the copter.
So, yeah. I'm upset. This isn't an ordinary quadcopter, it has ports for stuff you can connect. Some ACTUAL connections you can buy are:
-A water gun
-A bubble blower
-A camera (it came with the product)
The thing had a nice LED display on the remote that told me a lot of stuff about it, too. I could control lights from it, perform stunts, and other stuff.

There's tiny ones that are easy to fix for 40 USD. Lemme see if I can get a link.

Tiny whats? Motors?

I remember I got something like this 2 Christmas's ago.
It broke literally the first time I tried flying it.

Tiny whats? Motors?

It comes with 4 replacement blades, and you can order spare motors. It's quite resilient as well, I've crashed it into metal garbage cans and it came out fine. IMO, totally worth the $40-.

That's adorable, but for $40? :S
It doesn't have the ports for stuff you can add to it, like mine does, though.

OOOHH!!!

I detached the old rod and motor and I will be purchasing this soon!

I suppose not. Still, it's hard to break. The worse that's happened is I lost a rotor, and I just took from one of the four spare blades it comes with. Even if it does, it's just $40.

But yeah, it's small, and no customization.
