Author Topic: profile avatar won't change  (Read 669 times)

like the title says, my avatar won't change
it's 927 bytes, with 2 frames (gif)
here's the avatar if someone can compress it more

Does an error pop up?

Gotta b 75x75 pixels or less

Gotta b 75x75 pixels or less
that isn't the problem. it's just not the problem. what is so hard to understand about "that is not the problem," it is never the problem
if you upload an avatar that is too wide or too tall it resizes it, it's always done that
the problem here is either:
a. the file size is too large, so compression is needed. not necessarily by reducing the resolution however that is an (ineffective) option
or b. the forum's just messing up again

Uh yeah most of the times with .gif avatars that don't work the size is the problem, so back off.

Pretty sure 927 bytes is really really tiny so resolution isn't the issue.

It's the forum messing up again.

no? if you try to upload a .gif with too high of a resolution, it still works and gets resized, it just isn't animated anymore

err, that's what I said...
