Author Topic: Disabling power key on keyboard?  (Read 641 times)

Hey, so I'm running on linux mint 13, and I have this keyboard with a power key, and sometimes when I'm typing my pinky or some finger will slip over and tap it, and yes, it does prompt me, but sometimes I'm typing and press enter to start a new paragraph or in blockland, send a new message.
Please help.

I'm not sure how you'd find the key code, but I use a program both at home and at work called AutoHotkey for remapping keys and mapping macros. It's free and pretty powerful, here's a link if you want to check it out.

Best of luck to you.

that'd look bad
take it off and remove the soft squishy bit (assuming it has one) under it and then put the key back on, that would probably work

then wouldn't the key just fall in without me pressing it

idk, depends on how it works. look at it and see. you could always stick something else in there to hold it up if it was really important to you

Or just ignore me, that's okay too.
