My mouse is acting up

A lot of times when I click something, the mouse doesn't register it and I have to click multiple times as a result. It's really annoying and it's getting in the way of my activities. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I thought the thread said "My Mom". Anyways, is it USB or PS/2? Try using a different mouse if you have one around to make sure the problem is hardware related.

Check for hardware updates. Also, is your mouse movement kind of jumpy?

After replacing the batteries, it seems to be fixed.
