It really isn't. The Chainsmokers are a legitimate DJ duo who are part of the house scene. All their other songs wouldn't cause even a hint of this emotion in you because they're "normal" house songs. This is what The Chainsmokers have to say about their song:

The song isn't serious, it's making fun of people who actually act like that.
