if it's by a competent company and isn't junk it should work

idk if that's your best option but i guess it should work. i'm sure there's some bollocks about transfer rate and power though

All the other ones I saw did not come with a plug to get it to the computer, and the port for it was some kind of weird stuff I don't have on my laptop.

if you literally just looked at the hub and saw something other than a USB and assumed something was wrong, you're probably wrong

most likely it comes with a USB-whatever cord to actually connect to a computer otherwise it's not

I have the D-link hub at the top; it's powered and works really well!

Naw, I looked closely at it.

It had the USB Ports, no cord for power, and on the side, two other ports (assumed for power), a female, audio looking port, and some weird thing that looks like a printer port.

I'm sorry, but USB hubs is something where you simply can't go wrong. Even the ones for under 5 quid will work perfectly, there really isn't much to suggest here.

...that still implies you only drew conclusions from the picture, which most likely won't include any included cables
