forget forgot I had homework, stuck on one problem

I can't take a picture, but it pretty much gives me a X and Y table and the equation is f(x) = -2x2 + 2x + 9
it tells you to find the vertex, the axis of symmetry, and the y-intercept (which I automatically assume it's 9.) but the strange thing is, the parabola doesn't have a single point to sit on, it's like sitting on 2 points the same way horizontal.

Vertex: (0.5,9.5)
Axis of symmetry: x=0.5
Y-intercept: (0,9)


the derivative is -4x + 2 in case you ever need it
