Author Topic: Cause and Effects of Life  (Read 691 times)

A few times I snuck over to my girlfriend's house at night, and one of those nights I wasn't careful enough and I did not close her backyard gate fully. The next day her parents let the dog out in the backyard unaware the gate was open. Her dog got out and ran away, ripping my girlfriend's heart out. The dog meant everything to her. If we had decided not to sneak around there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Knowing that it was my fault, I went around her neighborhood while she was at work and looked for Daisy. I spent a couple hours knocking on peoples' doors and with an ounce of luck I caught a glimpse of a dog huddled under a truck. It was Daisy. Fixing my mistake and refilling my girlfriend's life with someone very meaningful to her not only did that, but it opened a new window of different experiences and poses of life.

This was a picture taken earlier today of her mother's baby, and in the background is Daisy. Imagine if I hadn't taken the time to undo my mistake. The baby would be looking in a completely different direction, or maybe even the angle of the picture taken would be completely different.

Choose every action from here on out in your life with extreme care and thought, because the outcomes to follow that will be your decision, even if you don't see them. It's the butterfly effect.

i thought this was going to be about evolution when I read the title

You cant stop my yolos.

i was reading and literally thought the dog ripped your girlfriend's heart out, which was disconcerting to say the least. good on you, though.

one time i took 40 bucks from my aunts room and there was no effect because she didn't notice.

The effect is your aunt is without 40 dollars, and you're less of a person for stealing which could develop into a habit.
