Author Topic: does anyone else get really loving sweaty while giving a presentation  (Read 1076 times)

Simple sub-conscious anxiety.

when I'm talking to someone long enough and I feel everyone can hear me I get really tense

I've never done a presentation at my school yet but when I do I feel it's gonna have to be the most well planned out thing to stop something like that from happening

last time I did a presentation I almost fainted, I don't know why but I get really nervous whenever I have to present in front of people.

I get anxious if I have a plan. If I just wing it, I can talk in front of people forever. I hate powerpoint presentations for exactly this reason; I stand up there and stress about looking like a handicap reading off the screen. But if I did that same powerpoint presentation off hand without any slides, I'd wreck it with no stress. I always get better grades when I do that because I actually interact with the audience and stuff instead of just sitting there like a zombie reading the slides.

i tend to speed through these presentation things before the nervousness fully kicks in.

its worked out well so far.

Whenever I think I am at my loudest, I am (to others) talking too quietly.

Turns out it gives me bad grades in presentations. The least someone can do is say, "Speak louder friend."

i got 2 points off for that wtf

idk about you guys but i always read with gusto.

I get really warm doing presentations, sweat sometimes. Mainly because I use a lot of body language/move around a lot. I have finals week in a couple weeks and have to do an on campus 30 minute presentation on my plan to manage waste water and air pollution for environmental engineering. That should be fun.
