I've seen people say they used about 1.2gb on huge servers, and since he plans to use DayZ, I'd say to stay safe and go with 2GB, though 1 should be sufficient.

because thats for arma 2 and not dayz? dayz uses a stuffload more RAM and considering those are the minimum specs im pretty sure that more RAM cant hurt lol
i found a server that will fit what i need just fine for $41 a month

location isn't as important as you'd think. As long as it's in generally the same country, you should be fine.

yeah i was going off a suggestion another hoster was saying
ive found he was hosting a different mod of dayz and he had some 500 vehicles on the server
i settled on 4 GB
