Author Topic: HDMI to USB Adapter, Fake?  (Read 704 times)

I remember all the times I bought these weird adapters for 3RCA and VGA thinking they were real, when they were fake.

Before I go buying this for my laptop, will it work?

I have a 3foot Industrial HDMI cable and I wan't to put my laptop screen onto my TV with it, but only my TV has HDMI.

I'm pretty sure its fake. There's no way USB can output HDMI video without some third party software inbetween.

pretty sure its legit and possible

HDMI is video, and USB is data
There's no way this could work

Umm, it's almost certainly legit. They work the same way as USB to VGA adapters - external graphics cards. That's why the HDMI side is the shape it is.

Can you even read what you've just written?
Video data is still data

if this was real i'd finally be able to buy an oculus rift

yeah, it's probably real

i've seen things like this before
