Avatar won't upload

Every time i press "update profile" it does not upload
My browser is Safari
I use my ipod touch 4g

The avatar system has been broken for 2 months, ever since some guy found out that you can make your avatar 256x256 instead of 75x75, with a .ico file.
Don't worry you are not alone. My avatar looks horrible but it's stuck.
