hey there

im trying to host a game on my schools network but the problem is, i cant

here is the error when im trying to connect

The ping of every server is dead?? Z0mg
when i try to connet it says

^^^^^^drives me crazy ^^^^^^^

and finally... after a year

Request has timed out @.@

Quick clarification request: Are you trying to host a game and join that game specifically, or are you having problems connecting to ANY server?

lol, connection to ANY server is inpossible anyway, the ping of every server =DEAD it says ??? first and then Dead...

It seems like your school's blocking connections, probably by port. That would be quite bad, and could be summarized by 'you simply can't without a bit of technical knowhow of your own'.

And I need to mention that a lot of schools prohibit games like Blockland - you may get in trouble for playing it at school.

Plus, you shouldn't really be playing games in school. I did once and got in huge trouble :P Cause we have our own laptops.

I personally am one of the student tech workers at my school, and I help manage the lab. Of course, this means Blockland for me, with not really much to stand in my way! And I make sure that the administration doesn't get the bright idea of blocking non-standard ports, considering the difficulty in learning with them blocked. Still can't get them to take off the block on Youtube for this same reason, though.
