Author Topic: Streaming Help - Audio  (Read 561 times)

I want to stream to twitch with Open Broadcaster Software without Skype being in the stream. I only want to capture audio from ArmA (or any other program I want to stream).

Is there any easy way to do this?

Click on the volume icon, click mixer.

Lower the volume on the skype application to 0.

That's not what he meant. Glass wants to be able to stream and talk to people on Skype, but people watching will not be able to hear the conversation in Skype, and only the game should be heard

If you have a separate sound card for your speakers/digital you can turn stereo mix for the digital/speakers. In "mixer"(for speakers or digital), turn down the volume for everything except the broadcast. Using "listen" route stereo mix to your headphones. Turn everything else up for your headphones so it isn't playing in stereo mix.

I hope this works, I figured it out awhile ago but I've only used it once

Why the hell can't anything be simple with Windows?

Of course it's not simple. At ALL!

Windows is the most simplistic operating system.

Anyway, I think I know a program that does that. I'll get back to you if I remember what it's called.

That is a joke...right?

Don't know a damn thing about streaming software, but does it really not have an option for audio inputs? It would otherwise be easiest to have Skype open in a laptop on the side. Or a tablet or whatever the hell you kids use these days.

So inconvenient tho. Idk windows is just stuff, it would be so simple for them to add a feature that chooses what program you want to use.

Can't you just select it in OBS?

That's am issue with OBS, not Windows.
