amazon charged me before my order shipped, and now i have to wait 10 days for it

I bought a mouse from Amazon, and then cancelled before the order shipped out because I found a different one at a local store. Amazon decided to charge me before the order shipped, and now I'm out $18 until 10 days from now until they refund it.
Theres a problem here.

and im out the $18 until they refund me 10 loving days later (they should be able to do it instant, they can take money no problem but putting money in takes 10 days? bullstuff)

but that's not how amazon works, every time I've ordered something I get charged almost instantaneously and the item is sent a day or so afterwards, sellers have no control over when the charge occurs
