Which of these laptops is better?

I remember my first laptop. It was a Dell XPS 500, it was perfect. Now every time when I boot it up I get artifacts all over my screen and blue horizontal lines rip.

Sorry for the quality but the blue lines are almost in a chain link pattern across my screen. Also it was M1530 not M500. Woopsy.
