Unless the mic has some kind of audio controller, then it should be audio jack. Or just go with wireless and use a dongle ( like the elitist i am. )

my current headset u just plug in through usb and there are 2 dials, one is chat, second is game.

Whatever, I'd get the SteelSeries Siberia v2. It's the most popular gaming headset on my parts retailer of choice, a decent price and it looks about as comfortable as any other gaming headset.

dunno about that because it requires an install disk in order for the surround sound to work (it uses 7.1 surround), but a model that doesn't require the disk might be able to run on a console.
