i'm incredibly guilty of this

do something that makes you happy not for money

As far as I know, the newer you are at something, the stufftier your commands are, and you get abused more by 'veterans' or whatever.
Speaking from experience.

as long as i follow the rules and work hard i will have success well i see what you're saying but there's still no way of knowing if success will come your way.

whats life like?
Pain.

Step one: get money
Step two: repeat step one

do something that makes you happy not for money
listen to this guy

money =/= happiness, quite often. Go to college for something you enjoy, not something that will make you rich. Also, if you don't need to go to college for what you enjoy, it's probably just a waste of money. College is expensive, so don't go just because that's what everyone does.

i love life
i love everyone
wheeeeeeeeee

yeah but some people genuinely enjoy being rich/accumulating wealth. That alone is enough fun for them to do something they might not necessarily like.

being different is bad

Basically the lesson taught by The Amazing Spider-Man movie.
